Hat Tip- #2

Another Ardour

They take you to a distant state A place for which you couldn't wait. You are ready to bet your life on it For the flame inside your heart bright lit, The happiness radiates, brightens up our soul This zest inside wants to meet the furthest goal.

Because success tastes sweetest when it is earned; when your blood, toil and tears get burned. Penned down to make myself realise that I will live in a castle engineered by me. 'The dreams, aspirations and wishes are deep That in the night make me weep. But everything has to   wait   they say And here I am all-eyed for the   great   day. I'll earn   name   and fame on my own and then comply Will   give   wings to my dreams and make them fly. So nobody could be held responsible if I fail In the room I would lie   alone   and wail.'

Hat Tip- #1

We dream without knowing whether tomorrow's sun will rise for us, We walk on the path without realizing what barrier awaits us next. Undettered we move on, crossing every barricade, Over the mountain, towards the zenith, grasping whatever is laid. We wander pursuing what is unknown And on this path we roar and moan, Harsh words will prick your soul But stay determined to your ultimate goal. Treasure everything that comes your way Think out of the box and make it stay. Life is a battle meant for you to win So fight it with a thicker skin.

Noted, Not Acted

A nineteen-year old girl goes to a market. Two men in their twenties follow the girl and attempt to molest her. The girl summons her courage and slaps the men. In return, she gets thrashed by the two men in a crowded marketplace of Karauli’s Hindaun city. 16 December, 2012, a girl is brutally raped and abandoned in the heart of my nation in place that had many onlookers but no one to aid. Had she been taken to the hospital on time, she would have been continuing her medical studies. Uttar Pradesh’s Badaun district- two girls are raped and hanged on a mango tree. Their corpses keep suspending on the mango tree for hours in a state that can send shivers down your spine. Yes, those spectators were present there too who were clicking photographs, recording videos and circulating them. Outraged? Well, I pity such people. Now let us cogitate on the aftermath of such events. First, such incidents manage to gather copious of commiseration. People express their compassion and sorrow at such

Empathy

“We think that poverty is only being hungry or homeless. The poverty of being unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty.” The music beats thumped, the air conditioner froze and the eatables were swallowed. We were returning back home after attending a relative’s birthday party. On our way back, we paused at the red light junction, and a thought struck my mind . She seemed to be of the age of seven or eight years. Hair all messed up, ragged clothes, disheveled appearance and a baby in her arms. She sat on the footpath with folded laps, looking after the child. She was situated there staring us, and a grin covered her little face. She sat still and stared us, each and everyone in the car. The red light went off and we drove away, leaving the little girl behind. This is something so frequent at the red light stops. No one cares to even take note of that vagrant’s plight. They sit there the whole day, whether it is the scorching summer or the shivering winters. No timely f

The Epitome of Love

It’s so hard to know that there is someone who will never give up on you, who you can always depend upon and who will take whatever it takes to make your life abundant. In this inhumane world, there’s a soul so generous, so lovable that burns only to emit light to your life. She is an extraordinary friend, a counselor. Her love, wisdom and practical advises are indispensable. Reminisce the quarrels you had with her. Your incensed words had lamented her soul. She had cried in the corner of the room, hiding the pearls from her eyes, but she stayed reticent and didn't vindicate you. This woman is an epitome of affection and care. There were times that you left that concerned soul unheard. Her caring call wasn't paid heed. She packed her aspirations in an old box and has dedicated her life to see you reach the zenith. She celebrated your birthdays with great pomp and show, had planned for the evening a fortnight ago. All this for that one thank you she received at the end of the

The Final Destination

The nesh grass gradually touched her delicate bare feet. The cold breeze that had longed, was playing wild with her hair. The black clouds hovering above her had settled down and had paved the way for the sun to shine bright. The negative spiral that had her drowning deep into it, was now no more into place. She realized that peace is beautiful; that everybody is born beautiful, perfect and without faults. The grin on her face widened and the undeterred confidence added to the beauty. The girl who was brought to bay lately was now a free bird flying in the endless sky. There had been a phase in her life when her own reflection crippled through her nerves. Her scruple soul was clear on her intent and on the purpose of her existence. She had strangely imploded, declined from indecisiveness through confusion tom utter impotence; had breathed the bracing air of tolerance but today she stands as a servitor to those who are strong, but camouflaged by their weakness. The battle with he

Believe in Yourself

Ever seen a child learning a new task? Observe them closely and you will learn that they make mistakes while learning how to ride bicycle or write, and we don’t give it a second thought because we know that through their mistakes they will learn, and eventually master. But this perception changes as we grow old and become taller. In adulthood, we become hard on ourselves when we make mistakes. We don’t learn from the mistake and instead take it as a setback and dishearten ourselves. We don’t consider our mistakes as a lesson learnt, but instead repent and regret and circumambulate ourselves in a spiral of negativity. We give up on our hopes and don’t understand that the obstacles and the barricades are steps that would progress us towards the final goal, because there’s a higher level than the top and we are here to make more. We get riled easily by every setback because we don’t believe in ourselves. We don’t believe in our capabilities that have the power to move mountains. A life
